50W returned defective heating element
50W The heater flashed ER and temperature but the remote control was not activated. The package looked open, probably a return as a temp strip was missing. The 100 watt heater worked perfectly so no consumer fault. Sent back for a refund, not a replacement. 50 watts is also sufficient if you are using a 5 gallon tank.
