Review on ScubaPro Hydros Cargo Thigh Pocket by Charlie Clayton

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Seems good for what it is.

I like that it's big enough to fit a spare mask and/or pro athletes. This is ideal for extra storage. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because I think it was made for someone who is way fatter than me. I'm not a little girl by any means, but I'm not tall or fat either. It dangled pretty low. The bag is long enough (and has a long enough clip at the top) that the leg strap sits just above the knee. I also had to tighten the leg strap fairly tightly, almost all the way, just to get it snug enough around my leg, and even then nothing was holding the pouch in place other than the top hook and leg strap. So it rotated constantly around my leg with every movement or position change. I was still happy to have an extra pocket for a mask, flashlight or whatever, but imagine how difficult it is to access those things when the pocket sits so low on your leg and the spins all the time. It's annoying when you need that mask or light or whatever and have to bend down to get the bag that's now wrapped around your leg and sitting really low. It's especially annoying when you're already struggling with waves or currents in the ocean, or you realize you need those things pretty quickly. It's also annoying when you just swim normally and suddenly realize that the sack has shifted forward according to gravity and with every kick with your foot it likes to slip around a bit, sometimes get very close to you. inner thighs that it starts to interfere with your leg movements. At this point you will find that you have to spend the dive constantly putting the bag back in place and sometimes just holding it in place. And yes, I tried to keep the leg strap as snug as possible so it wouldn't be uncomfortable or interfere with circulation. And the fact that it's as tight as it gets helps to a certain extent. However, this does not change the height of the bag and does not completely solve other problems. The reason I still give it 4 stars is that it was incredibly annoying at times and had certain flaws, but it was a well made case that served its purpose. It was annoying, but not so much that I didn't want to use it. I loved having a pocket that was large enough for the things I wanted to carry and that didn't attach to my BC in a way that added bulk to my vest. I was looking for a leg bag because I didn't want a bunch of stuff attached all over my chest. And if it was more stable and reliable in the way it attaches to the body I would give it 5 stars.
