For me it was a cheaper option. I thought I acted wisely and got a good deal. The vinyl was MUCH thicker than the backing, and the backing is very thin. I have something that works. Even if it's pretty annoying. I ruined 2 sheets because I didn't cut the vinyl deep enough (because it's so thick) and another because I cut the backing straight (because the backing is so thin). Also, you need to take it off the cricket board very slowly because the backing is thin and will tear if you pull too fast.
