I have used machine embroidery material as a substrate for a long time; not as an embroidery stabilizer, but to add density to some fabrics so they hold stitches better and don't wrinkle. (Regular stabilized is still needed.) I used to be able to get it from JoAnne Fabrics and use the coupon to buy a full 15 yard bolt at a time. For some unknown reason they don't sell it anymore, not even online, so I found this site with a pretty good price and was happy to see it was a 30 yard bolt. But alas, when it arrived "quickly and securely packaged" it turned out that it was only 25 meters as stated on the end of the bolt. I raised my concerns with the company and they promptly refunded the missing 5 yards pro rata so I can now give at least a 4 star rating. I suggested that they change their ad to reflect the appropriate footage, which I don't think they have done yet.
