Great safety net to complement/convert to 7x7 style nets

I am the club coach for the women's 16U fast pitch team. In practice we often throw real balls forward and this net works very well as a safety screen for the coach or the person throwing the balls. It is quick and easy to set up and offers very good protection against center hits even at close range (10 to 15 feet from the striker). lower posts. It installs in about 45-60 seconds. The quality, construction and mesh used appear to be identical if not slightly heavier than the Bownet version. It was also about $30 less than the Bownet version. I have to admit that I'm usually skeptical of copycat products, especially ones that stand up to the daily abuse of a club side, but this net is strong and holds up well. At around $40 this is a great addition to our three bownets and easily converts the Bigmouth into a narrow forward caster. We used to use a 7x7 grid, but it was too big for throwing forward and doing situational drills in our infield, not to mention the mid toe was too responsive and not as effective. It's wide enough for good pitcher protection, but narrow enough to let balls pass to average fielders in realistic situations. It's also quite tight, only giving about 4 inches when the balls hit the net. It comes with its own red carry case so it fits into our other mesh bag and is easy to find when you need it. One thing I would recommend is that due to the rounded design of the side posts at the bottom of the net there is some exposure of the arm, foot and shin for the shot. At this point I put a bucket of balls inside for more protection. It's not really bad, but I know firsthand what it's like to take a squeaky softball off my foot or shin. I suppose it could be used as a last resort for a soft throw, but I wouldn't recommend it for that as it's really designed as a safety net and not a traditional ball hitting net. I am very happy with this net and would highly recommend it to any baseball or softball team.
