WOW. I wish I had a dehumidifier before that!

My new apartment I just moved into has this dirty smell. At first I thought it was just an old building complex. So I have solutions for carpet cleaning, wooden door polishing, etc.; the smell is still there. I've also noticed that my loaves of bread go moldy so quickly. After a bit of research, I came to the conclusion that mold grows due to the accumulation of moisture in the air. Do not get me wrong; The apartment is clean. But these invisible suction cups have been hanging on walls and doors for centuries and have proven to be harmful in the long run. If it doesn't smell good, it's not normal. placed in the bedroom for better airflow, although I wake up in a sweat more times than I can count. As soon as I got the humidity sensor the number was 69%. No pun intended, but it was hot! I know I need a dehumidifier. After reading the reviews of different brands, I decided I would give it a try. Mainly because $20 off over $248 makes the price for 70 pints competitive. Also, I love the clothes drying feature which no other brand offers. It is suitable for rainy season or winter. Thanks to its elegant design and light weight, the dehumidifier is very easy to use without reading the instructions. It's all plastic but durable. The noise level is low. There's some white noise at high speed, but that's about it. The device has hidden wheels. However, you don't have to move it as it takes up a lot of space unless you want to deal with different rooms. I put it in my bedroom because it is connected to the bathroom (no window). I'll start doing this as soon as I get home. from work to sleep. I also set a timer for 2-4 hours in the morning before I go to work. I run it non-stop for a week on this schedule and the house smells and feels so much better. You can technically run this 24/7 if you set up its drainage system. No, because I have carpet covering 80% of the apartment; I don't want leaks. And I haven't seen a leak yet. The device will beep when the water in the tank is full. An error code will appear on the screen. All you have to do is pour the water in the bathroom or kitchen sink. And you will often do it in the summer. Believe me. Otherwise I have 0 errors on the device. If it's a hot summer day, I can turn it on all night for comfort. I keep the humidity around 30-40%. I think below 30% is too dry and you can get static shock. Above 60% is too humid and you get hot even with the air conditioning on full blast. The dehumidifier removes moisture from the apartment in any case. Since the air quality is greatly improved as a result, the air conditioning and fans now work much more efficiently. It also significantly reduces my electricity bill in the summer. I don't have to turn on my poor AC and now only use 1 table fan instead of 3. It's a worthwhile investment in the long run. Whether you live in a rented apartment, have a basement, or live in a humid area, this is your solution to better health. You will not regret it.
