I can't believe I ordered this tool a few years ago but I've only used it a few times because I knew as a classic car owner I would definitely use it one day. And I just did it. Today's project was to customize and install stainless steel brake line ends for my 1983 Maserati Quattroporte and if you know anything about them they use a combination of standard and metric fittings. So on the 3/16 inch line I had to install both standard double flare fittings and metric bubble fittings. Turn on Mastercool. With a little setup and preparation, I quickly made stockable bells and the tool was easy to use. A few lever clicks and the flanging is done. Switching matrices from flare to bubble and back was done in seconds. Now I feel like I want to go ahead and replace ALL the hard lines on this machine and I'm a lot less afraid to do what used to be a much more tedious job. Admittedly it's expensive, but I certainly got what I paid for and wholeheartedly recommend this tool if you have multiple brake line flares in the future. I would give 6 stars but even I have my limits.
