One of the first things to install after purchase

It takes a bit of effort to install and remove these filters, no matter the brand. Now that shouldn't happen that often at K&N. And when they get dirty, take them out, clean them, and put them back in. The filter freshener smells nice and K&N holds back dirt and particles much better than normal paper filters. If you plan on running your car for more than 24 months, these filters (in terms of cost) are not a problem.
