Great carrier for carriers and strollers

I have 7 dogs and at least the same number of different types of carriers and I have to say this may be my favorite for my smallest dogs. First of all it's really well made and so attractive, the gray fabric is durable and I really like the cream finish, it gives it a really expensive look and is the right finishing touch. All the zips (and there are plenty as you can pull your pup out from the top or the side and the fold out screen also zips to store the side canopy when not in use) work great and the amount of " Shielding". "" in this pet carrier is impressive and provides enough airflow for your pet (important when traveling as the stress of travel is already making your pet hot, fussy and restless). Somewhere (perhaps in a holding area) with your pet for a long period of time and you need him just to give a little more freedom of movement without risking running away in an unfamiliar place (which would be a disaster!) I'll say that one pup I bought this for, my 4 lb Maltipoo, has the fold out screened area doesn't like and doesn't go in when i unfold it but if i was out and it was confined within sometime i think she would use it if i added a blanket which also gets me some padding that little sherpa pillow at the bottom of this stretcher is not impressive (and that's what keeps me from giving this one 5 stars), it doesn't add any pillows, it's just a fluffy piece of fabric on top cardboard , and when I travel with my girlfriend I will definitely add something softer for her comfort. Most carriers will fit, it's a bit comfortable for my 8 and 9 lb dogs but still doable. It will NOT fit my 11 lb leggy pomeranian, not big enough for him at all. While it says it can hold a 15 pound dog I would argue that it would be impractical or even impossible and would be comfortable for the dog, especially if it is a leggy, large dog there is plenty of headroom for the dog. it is about 10-12 inches. My 8 pound short legged Shorky fit in but his head bumped on top when I zipped it up. Also, it looks like if your dog is small enough to fit in, the stretcher itself will fit nicely under an airplane seat if you buy it for that. The strap measures 16.5 from end to end and then about 10 inches side to side with about 11 inches of headroom. You can carry it with attached handles or a detachable shoulder strap, and it has a strip that slips over the handles of other rolling luggage. I think this is a great little carrier but be aware of your pup's size when ordering.
