Review on Meike MK-MT24 2.4G Wireless Close-Up Speedlight Macro Twin Lite Flash for Nikon F/Z-Mount DSLR Cameras by Jorge Toussaint

Revainrating 3 out of 5

High speed sync is not working yet. Needs a firmware update but overall a great kit

Good, judging by the packaging it is very well and professionally packed (5 stars). The accessories you get for this flash are amazing, very well thought out (color gels with wide diffusers, regular diffusers, extra shoe mounts for single remotes, nice case and the list goes on. (5 stars) All the ring adapters are METAL, very nice detail.(10 stars if I could give) The transmitter has a so-called adjustment LED light built in (adjustable, at the highest level. Very bright) as well as the flashes themselves, again very well thought out (5 star brands, but could be a little better (4 stars) Now you ask why I gave an overall rating of 3 stars, today I had time to test it, a very serious bug that I think can be easily fixed with the firmware is the if If you exceed the camera's maximum sync time, a little over 1/250 second, the flashes just turn off by themselves. In my case, the right one always turned off first, and then that Couple left turned off, I tried 1/320 to higher sync speeds of 1/4000. and the same thing happened again, after a few test flashes, a 1/200 second cutoff. Now this is a serious problem for me as I not only want to make macros from a static object but also small insects and flies, bees and more, so high speed sync is very important, I tried to follow the guide to get on Go to their website and download and install the latest firmware but it wasn't there so I'm sending it back and giving it 3 stars. But I will wait until MFG hopefully solves these problems. ask and get another.
