Great travel/portable kettle

Bought this for vacation because let's be honest hotels don't have hot water for tea and if you decide to use the coffee maker in the room to heat water, your tea tastes awful. Now I also use it when I go to book club/craft meetings at the library and need to bring my own teapot. Here's what I like about it: 1. It's lightweight and heats water quickly. 2. The kettle is separate from the base so the cord is out of the way. 3. It's small and doesn't take up much space. 4. It's beautiful, very smooth. 5. It heats 17 ounces of water at once, which is more than enough for a standard cup. 5. It has survived a lot of travel and abuse and still works great. Here are some cons: 1. The cable is VERY short. You may need an extension cord. 2. Keep the overview. Sometimes it forgets that the water is boiling and does not turn off automatically. 3. If you are boiling water for more than 1 person, the container may be too small - take the larger version. This is a great kettle for frequent travelers or those with limited space. A good gift for those who have a dormitory or a small apartment.
