Works great but sometimes doesn't. Since I live in a place with occasional humidity. suck! But it works. Needs to be placed properly on an open window and block any exposed useless areas in the window or door (which I think helped a lot better) so a straight flow or open door with a lattice door seems to help too. Good idea, I freeze a glass of water in a plastic cup and stick the ice in my tummy when I take the locks off, just being careful it doesn't tip over helps. I tried to modify Walmart's new "Cooler Pad", these blue pads are much better for this car, but it was too difficult to mold them because the water will seep everywhere, it's a great idea, better to use these pads when they cool down. Had to go back to the original box? the block he has. I wish someone could come up with an idea for YouTube and modify it, or Honeywell to sell a better SEAL or replacement. My humidity ranges from 10-50%, runs at higher levels but feels like not so good air, like sweaty, humid air, still needs to be vented through a door like I do with a security door. For some reason I was expecting a miracle lol but my fault I didn't think it through but it was worth it I guess. POWER CONSUMPTION in watts on the low end is 75+w-100 compared to my air cooled windows (500 and 900 watts). I've only used this Honeywell in my room to point it out all summer which helped a lot lol my room temperature would have jumped to 85-95F (without it) as I was out during the day. Another issue, I have no idea if the water from the container is pouring towards me or which is hard to tell. Make sure the floor is LEVEL. Do not overfill, fill almost to the top maximum line. Usually it lasts for 5-7 hours, depending on the weather I usually live on it the whole day. Edit: To save yourself the headache, don't buy this machine or space vaporizer. Go to Homedepot or Amazon Online Store and BUY the Hessaire3100 CFM Portable 3-Speed Evaporative Cooler (Swamp Cooler) for 950m². ft. or $350 or the $550 version, THIS is like SWAMP door coolers that REALLY COOL your home. !
