These gators have a nice contour to go around the front of my shin. They even have a lift at the bottom where my shin meets the top of my foot. The contour in this area provides coverage with out rubbing up against the top of my foot causing issues. The rigid protective area goes around the entire leg, but it’s cut up into panels so that it can mold around the curves of the leg easier. The straps can be unfasten single-handedly. They are also adjustable.They are lightweight enough that I can wear them in the summer without feeling overheated or weighted down.
