Review on 🦩 Pelican 1052 Foam Set in Grey for Pelican Products 1050-400-000 Case by Stephen Parkell

I purchased this product to provide a custom fit for my Garmin 650t GPS in a Pelican 1050 Micro Case. This works but the density of the foam is very suitable for this but it takes some effort , to get there. The foam is partially divided into small blocks vertically, but the foam is so thick that more horizontal grooves need to be added. This turned out to be more difficult than expected, because even with a very sharp knife, the foam is compressed and not cut. Perhaps a "hot knife" or air saw with a very thin blade would have worked better. Or, for example, Pelican could supply 3 sheets of corrugated foam with a total thickness equal to that sheet. This allowed the pieces to be individually shaped as needed and stacked on top of each other for a final, snug fit, a "glove" to protect my GPS. I would buy it again and recommend it to everyone. Just remember that you need to massage the foam a bit to get the desired contour.
