Good German quality

First thing I want to get clear for those of you reading some of the negative reviews and wondering about the quality of these chisels; they are very good and worth the price. I don't know what some were expecting or thinking it was Chinese rubbish. You got it wrong. Of course, you can pay many times more for this set and get a "presentation quality" case and carefully polished fine wood handles, but that doesn't improve the quality of the instrument. be a birch. Solid wood sides with box joints and high quality plywood top and bottom create a strong and beautiful chisel case. Nothing sucks here. The handles of the chisel are made of hornbeam, a small tree also called muskwood or ironwood because of its strength and density. It's not a particularly pretty wood, but it's an ideal choice for tool handles. The handles are comfortable to hold and have a smooth, satin finish. Again perfect for a work tool. Now for the fun part: steel. The high-carbon steel alloy is machined to a Rockwell hardness of 61. She is very hard! You'll find that honing/polishing (yes, expect that with all new chisels) is slow due to this extreme hardness, but then you end up with a blade that stays sharp for much longer. than average and requires only minor adjustments after cutting a large amount of hardwood. They are a pleasure to use and will become a family heirloom. You really are that good.
