Review on ⌚ Timex Ironman Run X50+ Smart Fitness Watch by Joshua Fuoco

Good watch suitable for heart rate monitors

I have had this watch for about two weeks now and at the moment I feel that it exceeds all expectations. I was hesitant to order this due to average reviews or a general lack of reviews, but I'm glad I did. I usually want a watch to be just a watch, but I hate being tied to my phone so I figured it was time for a change. As much as I think I would hate to go from one of my regular watches to a digital one, I don't actually have one and find these features very useful. In general, the transition was easy. I charged the watch right out of the box and didn't touch it until it was fully charged. While he was doing that, I downloaded the Timex app to my phone. When the watch was ready I plugged it in and the connection was stable. I run multiple Bluetooth connections in my house and have had no problems. I can play music from my phone via bluetooth and the watch connects to the phone and still offers text messaging, calendar notifications and lets me control the music. There were no problems with this. Bluetooth range is good, about 30 feet. Connecting the watch/phone is easy when using Airplane mode. If you unplug your watch/phone, it will have trouble reconnecting and will need to be paired again. The battery life is satisfactory, about two to three days. I follow the recommended procedure of letting it drain to zero before recharging for the first three charge cycles. Bluetooth drains my phone's battery pretty quickly, and I've found that whenever I get the chance, the phone needs to be connected. The functions of the watch appear to be good and well thought out. I like the many options on the stopwatch/split timer display. The watch gives you about five different ways to view stopwatch, split, average lap time, and so on. I didn't run with a heart rate monitor. The watch also gives you multiple options for showing the time and the second time. Your phone will also update when you first view it, so you don't have to update it manually. The watch also communicates with STRAVA, which wasn't a problem. It shows the distance on the dial, but all the indicators are on the phone. I agree as it is reasonable to work with the communication device. The watch has a view function that allows you to check your split times. At work, I get all my messages and can put my phone on silent. That's a lot for attending meetings. I don't have to get up in the morning to check my calendar as I can do it right from my wrist. Overall I am happy with the performance of the watch and expect it to continue to perform as advertised.
