I have a unidentified DC40gt DVR which unfortunately has a faulty cigarette lighter adapter. Instead of trying to solve the problem with cheap solutions, I went with this mini USB adapter. Because my dash cam uses a mini USB port for power, it fits my device perfectly. It charges my device and keeps it running efficiently while driving. An additional plus is the presence of a USB connector at the end of the plug. I would not recommend using this connector to charge a Samsung Galaxy, iPhone or any other device that requires fast charging technology, but rather for simple mobile devices such as an MP3 player or tablet. I would highly recommend this mini USB car charger to anyone who needs a good replacement for their mini USB GPS charger or dash cam.
