I bought this as a cheaper alternative to Cerave rough and bumpy sa cream. After using this lotion for just over a week I can confirm that it definitely removes bumps and kp MUCH better than Cerave. Yes, the instant smell is like hey, but it dissipates quickly and you don't smell it again. It's not that it makes me nauseous, it's just a chemical smell. IMHO tolerable. But it fades quickly once you start rubbing it in, so the results are worth it. The Cerava smelled too, but not as strong as this one. This tells me that the acid concentration in Amlactin is definitely higher, giving better results. A tip, do not apply to shaved areas immediately after getting out of the shower. It's going to burn like hell because you're applying acids to what should be open wounds. Wait about two minutes before applying it to the shaved areas. Follow your skincare routine or other post-shower habits, then apply. Another tip: Shaving can also help keep the CP in check. My problem area is my underarms, so I shave my arms regularly and apply this lotion for optimal smoothness. This lotion definitely does the job because with Cerave I've noticed my vimos are still hanging around. So this lotion is cheaper but 100% worth buying. I have no bumps and it also keeps my skin hydrated. I will keep buying this!
