Great addition to your mic stand. I'm a drummer and when I'm not singing I wanted to be able to quickly drop the mic or make quick adjustments and that was a great decision. I can quickly place the mic where I need it without touching the mic stand behind me. It's a bit stiff, which people complain about. Another thing to keep in mind is that when I put the mic up, it STAYS in place. Does not sink and does not fall slowly. I actually have issues with my mic stand from time to time, never had a gooseneck issue when doing this so stiffness can be a good thing.
