Ideal for singing drummers.

Great addition to your mic stand. I'm a drummer and when I'm not singing I wanted to be able to quickly drop the mic or make quick adjustments and that was a great decision. I can quickly place the mic where I need it without touching the mic stand behind me. It's a bit stiff, which people complain about. Another thing to keep in mind is that when I put the mic up, it STAYS in place. Does not sink and does not fall slowly. I actually have issues with my mic stand from time to time, never had a…

  • Great design
Cons
  • Doubtful

Surprisingly durable

I am impressed with the durability and apparent quality of this goose considering how well priced it is. Instead of using it to mount a microphone, I made homemade end brackets for it and mounted it on my car's center console (under the stereo) as a flexible phone mount. I use my phone to play music on my car stereo via bluetooth and it's nice to be able to use the speakerphone and just keep my phone within reach. Experience has shown that it is surprisingly strong and does not sag at all even…

It can carry surprisingly heavy weight

I really didn't expect it to work with my Blue Yeti but decided to give it a try for the price. As expected, the Yeti's weight was too much for him, at least a little more than 5-15° from vertical. I can get it working with a small exit angle and very little adjustment, but there really isn't much more flexibility than a solid arm. Built for the price so I'm not deducting stars because I didn't work with the Yeti in a way I didn't expect. And although he eventually collapsed, he was fairly slow

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Expensive

Surprisingly stiff for a flexible gooseneck

I have a snowball mic on the end of me mounted on a vertical surface about 36 inches from my desk. It sticks out about 2/3 of the way before I folded it down to bring it closer to my head and position the mic properly. This helped remove my keyboard noise recorded on my computer. The real sound of the keys is still picked up by the excellent microphone, but no longer the rattling. This mic is still hanging in the same place after 2 months. Sometimes, due to the positioning, I do bang my head on

Pros
  • All right!
