We bought this to replace the traditional swing on our swing which was damaged. Our kids are older now than when we bought the swing (our youngest is six) so we wanted something more versatile for teens under the age of six. Our teenage daughters sometimes hang out on the swings; Our first years will continue with a friend or two. It's great that these swings can be hung on one carabiner (for more rotation) and two (for a smoother back-and-forth motion). Children feel like they are flying. This also attracts the neighbors' children. Size 48" is suitable for three younger children (4th grade boys). However, my children usually go alone or with another child. An adult fits in easily. We have owned these for three months and have not noticed any deterioration. - Quality seems great so far Feels sturdy Was easy enough to put together - took a little time but no skilled workers.
