I have these mounted with 4.5 inch Lags and they work great so far. I drilled 3/8 holes so the lags would fit super tight and then coated the lags with heavy duty exterior glue in the hopes they wouldn't back out ever. I have purchased a few sets of these for use at adult special needs facilities. They work smoothly and really hold the weight. Would not hesitate to purchase again. The only thing we had to do was spray a little lubricant in one after a small squeak developed. Been great since.

My husband looked all over locally for these and he couldn’t locate them. He was pretty excited to find them here. The downfall is that one arrived without the holes. He’s frustrated that it’s not an open and install project anymore, but says he can hopefully get them drilled himself to get the task completed in time. Overall, he is impressed with the sturdiness. We had tried multiple ways to attach our swing to a tree branch that sloped upwards. For a few years we had a chain wrapped over the branch; while this worked (until the friction eventually wore through one of the links) it create huge gouges in the branch. We then wen through a series of tree straps all of which frayed and broke - some within days, some within weeks. Installed a swing for the grand kids and used this to hang the swing on.wife was the first to test out and the hinges were great!Extremely tough and will hold up for many years. Took some time because of using the drill over head, but well worth the time and purchase!

One thing I would suggest is after you install them, spray a little bit of lube of any kind in the bushing to keep them quiet as possible and lasting a long long time.
