I live alone in a small city apartment. I also have arthritis in my back and knees. And on a budget. <grim I know> In my 60's I consider myself young and energetic, but cheap student furniture doesn't do me any good. However, this chair is great. Very happy. Not a build number one. Sent quickly. Great comfort for the buttocks and lower back, a seat height of approximately 18.5 inches allows you to get on and off the chair with support on your knees. He turns. But the seat height is not increased, not adjustable. For my small home, it can serve as a reading or TV chair and my small stool as an ottoman. Also a dining or writing chair. All boxes ticked. I recommend. Note: Color is light gray. Definitely darker than ivory.
