Fantastic camera to take anywhere

I bought this because the price was incredibly affordable and I couldn't resist but bought it to try it and thought of returning it if I did in the end there would be someone who didn't like it. It turned out just the opposite, I really like it! Firstly, there was something mentioned in reviews all over the internet about a detailed menu system where you can adjust tons of settings, even things not found on an APSC DSLR, but I couldn't find it. I looked around and realized that not only do I need to update it with the latest firmware (from 1.0 to 1.4), I also need to enable this detailed menu. After doing that, I suddenly became very capable, I could use SCP or the Super Control Panel to make many settings in one panel on the LCD screen, an extremely handy feature that wasn't enabled by default. .Image quality, JPG is too soft and muddy, even when I turned off all noise reduction and noise filter, there is a lot of loss of detail, especially in the darker and shadowed areas of the image. The magic is in shooting in RAW, but only in RAW. You can view it on computers running Windows 7 and later by downloading and installing the Microsoft Camera Codec Pack, and then using the Windows Photo Gallery Viewer to view ORF (Olympus RAW format) files. When you look at your RAW(ORF) photos you will be amazed at how beautiful the photos are, there is zero to very little loss of detail in dark areas and everything looks just stunningly beautiful and so good that the result compares to much more expensive ones DSLRs can keep up (I have a Canon T4i, Nikon D5100 and D90). I am absolutely in love with this camera and have ordered a case for it but have not yet received it. In this price range the camera gives amazing results (in RAW format), the lack of a viewfinder doesn't really bother me, but even that I can buy one later as an add-on if I really want one. These days I just take this Oli everywhere in my jacket pocket! You can't beat the portability of this camera with an integrated M4/3 sensor that you can take anywhere at this price point!
