Review on ๐Ÿ”Œ 3DS LL Charging Dock Stand for Nintendo by William Nunes

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Official Nintendo, yes for 3DS XL ALSO

Like many, I am completely puzzled why there are no charging stations for 3DS XL in the US. There are different charging pads for every other model, but these have not been approved for the XL even by third-party manufacturers. Size XL has been out for a long time, it just doesn't make much sense. Nintendo briefly offered an American version of this booth to Club Nintendo members who redeemed reward points for them, but it never reappeared. This is an official Nintendo product but it is from Japan. The packaging clearly has a Japanese letter and says "3DS LL" - it's the same model as the American 3DS XL, they just use a different label. The stand itself says BOTH 3DS XL and LL - both are the same product, only the packaging is different (and availability of course). All you get is a cheap plastic stand (it's definitely not a beauty, but it's quite functional and discreet), you use your existing power cord. The power cord connects to the base, you simply plug your 3DS XL into the base. It was only worth buying because I hated fiddling with the power cord all the time and missed being able to easily put my device in a relatively safe place. Since the stand is made of lightweight plastic, I attached it with Velcro to keep it from accidentally moving. I still don't understand why Nintendo or even third parties don't have stands in the US market, but I was happy to get this stand for a decent price (about $20).
