We looked at a few packs of these. They pill fairly quickly and do so after every wash but they are thick which my kids love. The patterns are interesting and inexpensive. My kids' socks get dirty and worn out easily and have withstood the test of walking around and many washes. If you can come off the pills and your kids aren't too picky, then they might work for you.
