I was looking for a phone holder for my car but was a bit picky. I didn't want suction cups on the windshield, I didn't want them on the dashboard because they seem to be blocking my view (I know they REALLY aren't, but still) and I didn't want anything blocking my view on the air vents because my phone is quite big and the vents are quite small. Needless to say, I wanted the perfect phone holder. I imagined where my phone should be and at what angle, but I couldn't imagine what kind of phone holder could be placed that way. I wanted it to be directly to the right of my stereo screen at an angle to me. Then I found this. I saw a picture of one of these while browsing my car's online forum and reading about phone holders. I have an FR-S. People were quite creative but this one was perfect because it allowed my phone to be exactly where I wanted it. It doesn't block anything at all, it sits right next to my stereo, so it's almost like I'm extending my stereo's screen. It is strong and can be bent into the perfect shape you want, but is still very strong. From my vantage point, it looks like my phone is just floating in the air or being held by a mysterious hand for my convenient viewing. It's very subtle and blends in with the black interior of my car. The ONLY issue I had is that the engine rattling and general car driving causes the phone to shake horribly as it's so long and the phone on top makes it so heavy making it difficult , to decipher what's on the screen. I use it while driving, mostly Waze. And I couldn't really read what the future directions were. It was annoying. I solved the problem by putting on some velcro and attaching the top of the neck to the interior panel of the car. He stabilized him very well. All in all a great purchase. I just bought one for my girlfriend. Great for navigating and working as a second stereo (Spotify/Pandora) that I can control. Also, the top part that the phone sits on can be rotated so my passenger can control the music or use the phone for something else. It can even be rotated to make the phone horizontal so my girlfriend can watch Netflix on the go. Pretty cool. I really don't know how Arkon can solve the strong shaking problem, I mean it's just physics. Be creative.
