Review on πŸš™ AEM C.A.S. Chevy Cavalier & Pontiac Sunfire Parts: 1998-2002 Models by Tyler Dorsey

Revainrating 4 out of 5

First cold air intake

Received this yesterday and installed it on my 2000 Sunfire last night. I was a bit skeptical about ordering because last time I ordered a short stem from AEM and it ended up not fitting properly so all the work was for nothing. However, due to the high price of Revain compared to Jegs, I just had to go for it, especially with my good tax return which I got back. So I didn't think the installation would be difficult, but I was wrong. Unlike the previous AEM system I ordered, this one came with instructions and they were fairly well laid out and detailed and looking through it I saw that there was a lot to do but no complex tasks. Remove the battery, pick up the car, remove the stock air system, remove the windshield washer reservoir (which I didn't put back), remove the wheel arch cover, etc. My buddy was willing to help, but it still turned into a nearly 2 hour drive Project. . I'm sure it could have been much quicker, but we hardly knew what we were doing. Once installed I didn't really know what to expect from the performance and sound and was surprised at how loud and powerful this thing makes when you hit the gas. There is also a noticeable difference in performance. Not crazy, the walls change but are striking. I also noticed a dramatic change in lower engine temp. Overall a good investment. I think it's worth the Revain price compared to jegs and other prices. In case you're wondering, this came with an AEM to outlast the license plate frame and two decals. If you want to know more or get information for me on what I might need to know about my new system, please leave a comment. Many Thanks
