I really like these. After a few weeks of use (I have my own bathroom) I just throw them away and open a new set. For the price they don't need to be washed. I prefer to just put on a new set. The bad news is they don't stick at all. I use glue stick to hold them in place. Then when I swap them for new ones, the glue stick washes off easily. They are soft and slightly porous. Sitting on them is warm compared to a regular toilet seat. I take them off every few days to flush the whole toilet, then apply some glue to the back in a different spot than before and tape it back. I washed one in the washing machine once just to see if they would hold up in the washing machine and it fell apart. I hand washed the other one and everything was fine. But not like new. So I prefer to throw them out and put on new ones about every 2-3 weeks. If more than one person uses your toilet, I suggest you change it every week. They are very soft and absorb liquid.
