Quick-Release Aluminum Bracket Kit For MotorGuide Trolling Motors Review

Seems like an awesome product. Though fundamentally there should be some money back on this. You sell a new product, yet the package has tape on it because it has been opened as well as it has been previously installed or used with the rings and gouges. I know the trolling motor will be on top of it but I purchased a new product not used. Buy from another company who sells this product.

I have two one for my 55lb thrust trolling motor and one for my Deckhand DH 40 which I use to pick up that 30 lb anchor, works great in the garage.

I'm not sure what "stretch" has to do with this item? I modified this bracket to accommodate a set of LED lights used for bully netting and flounder gigging

Drilled 4 holes in trammel net deck to install. All hardware was included. Minimal impact on space at bow of jon boat. Excellent product. Very pleased

Being able to take my trolling motor on and off in seconds is a great feature. I would give 5 stars if I could actually use the lock hole, but it sits too low to get a lock in there.

Bought to be able to mount my motor on a cabinet (storage) when not in use so it was not in the door way of my pontoon boat. It holds it in place towing the boat 75 mph and while pulling tubers on the boat. screws the motor down and has a lock hole to keep it from backing out. Is the same mount I use on the boat while using the motor.

This is used for the iX3 and iX5 Motorguide bow trolling motors. Easy install and lockable. Great product that does its job. Looks great with a nice finish.

It didn’t fit our boat and by the time we had the time to put it on our deadline to return it had passed. That’s on us. Thanks for attention.

This fit my Terrova Riptide perfectly. Well made, just be careful tightening the bolt opposite the tab for locking, it will pull the bolt head right through.

This bracket is junk, the nuts and bolts they give you to mount it are the worst I have ever seen in my life and I am a professional mechanic by trade. They have it drilled so you have a very small head and washer which will pull right through the plastic mount if you try to tighten down very much at all. This must be why they have a more expensive aluminum mount.I advise paying more for the aluminum mount and just throw the cheap bolts they give you in the trash and plan on spending about 20…

The bolts lock when you put them together so screw them in one time is all you get they somehow seize themselves. The mount itself, when I put the screws onto it, the went through the mount holes and now don't fit. Over priced crappy plastic that you better get right the first time cause you'll be cutting the screws out if not.

Worked well. The plate only mounted on the motor one way which positioned the block close to the edge of the bow. I would have preferred to have this block further back. Works fine and is very easy to attach and remove the motor. If I were still fishing tournaments I think I would opt for the metal version to add more assurance in rough water but recreationally I expect this to work fine. I may still add a ram to secure the end of the motor to prevent bouncing in rough water or when…

This product is the same bolt pattern as a Minn Kota and works fine for a Minn Kota Terrova. I saved about $40 over the Minn Kota version!

Nice platform foe trolling motor should have more mounting holes for different mounting options had to modify for my Xi5

The Revain price on this item was lower than I could find anywhere else. This is a beautifully-finished quick release bracket. Very heavy duty!

Quick release bracket made it a lot simpler for us to locate our trolling motor. We have 2, one on front of boat & one on side just short off center, because sometimes we drift sideways.

Incomplete product, parts were not in the bubble wrap. Looks like someone took the part that they needed and sent this one incomplete.

I installed my trolling motor with this because I leave my boat in the water but don't want an expensive trolling motor to be stolen. Just pull the pin and take it with me. I was able to use this for my Minn Kota motor by just drilling a few holes.

After spending this much money on a quick disconnect for my xi5 I was dumbfounded over how pathetically small a padlock hole the designer went with. Completely ridiculous that it's expected to use a junk luggage lock to protect a 1500 dollar troller !

The item was a must for my installation. I would recommend the unit as it very well built me complements my Xi5 perfectly.
