Review on Quick-Release Aluminum Bracket Kit For MotorGuide Trolling Motors by Samuel Bowen

This bracket is junk, the nuts and bolts they give you to mount it are the worst I have ever seen in my life and I am a professional mechanic by trade. They have it drilled so you have a very small head and washer which will pull right through the plastic mount if you try to tighten down very much at all. This must be why they have a more expensive aluminum mount.I advise paying more for the aluminum mount and just throw the cheap bolts they give you in the trash and plan on spending about 20 bucks to get some real stainless steel mounting bolts.
