I used to order plus size black skinny pants and although they fit they were tighter than I wanted, closer to leggings so I sent them back hoping to get a size XL but they were not in stock. So I ordered the light gray loose fit L and they are perfect! I also ordered the dark gray ones as I thought they were tight, size XL. But when I received them and the receipt, it said free fit too. So this part is a bit confusing. They still fit great - slightly looser than L. Both are 34" long - shrunk a bit in the dryer - I'm 6ft so they sit down on my ankle. The material is thinner than what I had. They're made of cotton, as you'd expect, so there's no fluffy materials inside. More like a thick cotton t-shirt. Great for fall and as they are looser there is room for leggings underneath. But to be clear, I have very skinny legs. So if you have bigger hips, go up a size if you need room, otherwise be prepared for a legging-style fit.
