Portable Raw Food Eatable

We regularly feed our little terrier a mix of the frozen version of this product that we buy locally. But when we travel we don't want to bother with frozen food, and you really don't want to mix frozen dog food in the fridge with the food you're about to eat! For this reason, we always have a spare sachet of lyophilized Primal to take with us and rehydrate before meals. I don't measure anything, we just pour two nuggets over some water and then (very carefully) cut the nuggets into a few pieces with a steak knife while the water soaks up. After about 60 seconds we put the bowl down and our guy gobbles it up! His favorite flavor is beef, although we've tried others that he liked. I feel best with beef because raw poultry and pork seem to carry more potential diseases, although from what I've read conventional dog food pellets have far more disease related reviews than any raw food on the market. Dogs evolved to eat meat, not dry brown grain bombs. We feed our dog good grain free food from time to time and I have found that he is happier and healthier when he eats raw.

Pros
  • Dehydrated & Freeze Dried
Cons
  • Minor Trouble
