If my mask isn't clean enough and I think it is, then cross-contamination will occur. I test this by placing a thin, smelly polyester sock in a small sterilization box for 5 minutes. The sock came out smelly. That's why I want to return it. But after other Amazon customers responded to my concerns, I decided to keep it. The seller also sees my questions and provides documents to prove that this is a real UV lamp, while solving my questions as to why my smelly sock stinks after sterilization. After answering all the seller's questions, the seller told me to use it for 15 minutes and the smelly sock came out clean. The seller's evidence isn't as strong as my own test, which puts my mind at ease. I sterilize my n95 mask, car keys, letters, shoes, jackets and backpacks. I used to have to leave everything I used in the garage, read letters in the garage, spray alcohol on my car keys, air my N95 mask for ten days to reuse it. Wearing a jacket that might be contaminated is also very scary. Ouch. I just hate all these worries. Now that you have verified that this light is really sterilizing.
