I wear cream makeup and thought it was too good to be true when she just removed my makeup with water. Literally. I even tried the rest of the moistened makeup remover to see how much actually came off - everything, even my mascara (non-waterproof). That being said, I recommend rubbing the skin with some pressure to remove makeup, and it might not be the best option for those with sensitive skin. I noticed that there is a very fluffy side and a denser side. I used the thick side to remove makeup and the fluffy side to wash off the mask I put on after the shower. Worked great! All this soap before first use. I plan to use 1 a day and then wash at the end of the week with these and my reusable fabric cotton cartridges. I dried on low heat and didn't put a dryer sheet in to prevent sticking and it worked fine the first time.
