So I might be slightly impressed, but this little Blu-ray player is just what I need! Although the number of connections is limited. one USB, one HDMI and power. I haven't used all the features yet, but when I connected a portable hard drive containing my digital backups to it, I was able to see all the .VOB files on the drive. It also displays images and plays music (don't know what kind of files yet) (which is the standard these days). If you don't like the way certain movies throw you out of the room with sonic explosions, this little gem automatically limits the amplification of the sound. For $55 total, this is a great purchase. The only thing I would wish for is an optical audio output. LG' The construction of the door is almost impervious to dust, which ensures cleanliness and proper operation of the laser heads. This unit is an upgrade (for us) from an older LG DVD player and I'm very glad they kept the disc tray and door the same. This is probably the best setup in the business. If you are looking for a basic Blu-ray and DVD player, this is the one for you.
