This fridge is great for keeping cold items cool. This is not the best option for cooling items at room temperature. I put cold drinks in it and they stayed cold for 24 hours with no problem. When I added room temperature drinks, they cooled but never reached the expected temperature. I think this cooler is a good choice for road trips to have access to sandwiches, snacks and drinks. However, don't overdo it. When you want food to stay cool. It will. If you expect cold from a fridge, this one won't live up to your expectations. Also, I have found that for best results, it should be allowed to cool for at least 24 hours before using.
