I got this monitor as a backup monitor for travel and visiting my parents. The only good thing is that the volume can be turned down to a very low level without turning it off. However, the battery life, image quality and range leave a lot to be desired. The battery only lasts a few hours (usually not a problem but for some it may be), the picture quality is ok during the day but the quality is pretty poor at night and/or in a dark room. For example, it's so bad that I can't even see my baby clearly. The range sucks too. I walk right outside my house, next to my kid's room, and he's out of reach. Would not recommend this product. This works if you are in close proximity to the child's room and don't need to worry about getting a good view.
