There's no shortage of vacuum sealers with a variety of features to choose from. When I bought it, it had no review but was on sale at a big discount. It offers a smart mode, various preset modes, a manual mode and an external bottle seal. The manual emphasizes that "smart" mode should be used whenever possible. I've only sealed this year's bacon so far, but I have to say the smart mode has worked flawlessly. I compared it to "wet - normal" which is recommended for bacon. Performance and behavior were identical. There is a 40 second cooldown between packs. I don't actually mind as I usually work alone and I have time to mark the sealed bag and prepare the next one to be sealed.
