Review on πŸ“Έ INFURIDER YF-881D: Digital Light Meter Lux Meter for Accurate Illuminance Measurements up to 400,000 Lux - Ideal for Photography, LED Plant Growth, and Ambient Lighting Analysis by Chad Black

Very useful in lighting and studio

I bought this for solar panel evaluation as a replacement for a solar energy meter (pyranometer) at a much cheaper price. It met all my expectations and allowed me to distinguish bright sunlight from sunlight of almost the same brightness. I can compare the reading to the standard AM value of 1.5 lux (109,870) and calculate the power at AM 1.5. I don't have the equipment to calibrate it, but it seems fairly accurate as my max readings so far are 104,800 lux. Wildfire smog reduced sunlight, and this meter showed how much sunlight was absorbed. It comes with a nice protective cover and a screwdriver to open the battery compartment, which can be stored in the instruction case. I wish I had had this many years ago when the light in a conference room at work was lower than industry requirements.

Pros
  • βœ”SUPER WIDE LUX METER to measure brightness from 0.01-400,000 lux (0.01-40,000 FC) with high light reading accuracy of +/- 4%. ,High resolution up to 1 lux at twice per second sampling rate for fast response.
Cons
  • Only available in black
