I don't have a lot of space in my kitchen, so I looked for ways to maximize countertop space and move all my condiments from the cupboard to the table (because it annoyed me while of cooking to access it). I ordered two spice racks to see the difference (the other shelf had three tiers, one of which was sloping). I left this one because it's so durable, the size, and the plastic base that keeps my spices even. How nice to have my spice collection on display. Everything is at hand, not in the closet. It assembles easily and doesn't move around on my countertop. Just make sure you install the small bottom stops (I almost threw one away). I can also consider this a reusable shelving unit. I love this spice rack (I think that's a clear sign that you're in your thirties - you love the spice rack).
