
I have many (tons) of self-massage/trigger point devices, but none of them work like Thorex. First impression: quite heavy and looks solid, wheels are heavier than I expected, very basic but nice. I tried the wall briefly, felt good, but I really hit the floor. When I first laid on it I thought it might be too hard for about 10 seconds. You really need to find a position or muscle area that is comfortable or tolerable and move slowly once you become comfortable with it. After 30 seconds I realized it worked for me. My back was quite stiff and I didn't do massages or stretches as I was recovering from a lower back injury. It woke up my back and made me swear and laugh, it felt so good. And also healing, not just "good". Starting at my shoulder blades and slowly down to my lower back, little clicks and muscles gradually relax to the end. I am convinced that this is very beneficial for your back muscles as mine have been feeling wrong and tight for months, within 10 minutes they really do feel different and better. Putting socks on makes me feel better, I can walk and so on. I also found it works well under the neck as well, works really well on the hips/thighs/buttocks. Actually the tennis ball is better for the legs, this thorex is really designed for the spine. This is Rolflex and there's a lot you can do yourself! I would recommend it.
