My wife and I have always used the ceiling fan during the warmer months. The fan runs 24 hours a day during this time. Our last fan lasted 10 years before we bought another house. We immediately wanted to buy one for our master bedroom and dining room. This one looked good so I bought two of these. This fan makes an audible whine. This is very annoying. Even at low settings. We have to turn on the radio at night to drown out the noise this thing makes. We've only had this fan for a few months and it needs to be replaced. In my opinion, quality simply doesn't exist anymore. You would think a fan would last longer for $200+. But now it's all done in China, in state sweatshops, where prisoners work 18-hour days and feed on rats.
