So quick and easy that after moving I needed a preamp and the radio store is gone because their super cheap (and loud) 9v preamp is not an option. So, like anything else you might need, Revain probably has it. After reading the reviews I didn't have super high expectations but it is way better than I expected. The Good: This is a preamp that employs the RIAA curve. Ground on unit (oh crap, I need a radio shop model with a preamp that doesn't have one) It has LRF support (little rubber feet) Includes a red power LED indicator Volume controls if you want to switch straight to active speakers . It works and doesn't have much of the static noise commonly found on Chinese B-class El Cheepo units. The bad: It doesn't sound nearly as warm as a classic analogue device. a record player or something for the kids so they don't have to mess around with expensive high end stuff. Heck, maybe you've moved and too lazy to unpack everything (I get it, I really do), this thing is cheaper than the other options at less than $50, and it has rubber feet and a red LED.
