I bought it on purpose because I couldn't find a type-c usb drive that had enough storage and fast enough writing speed for my Honda DVR and smartphone . I am happy to report that this SSD performs well. All I had to do was format the drive (I use a laptop and an Android smartphone), add folders called hondacam and cellphoto, and then plug it into my car or smartphone. , it works great. The total usable space on the 500GB SSD before backup is 499.76GB. It's a lot smaller, thinner and lighter than I expected. It conveniently hides in my wallet.
