This is exactly what you would expect - an exact replacement for the watch strap that comes with the Garmin Forerunner 920XT. If you like the strap that came with your watch, then you'll love this one because it's exactly the same. This is a rubber band. In the package you will receive both halves of the watch strap (the part of the strap with the clasp and the part of the strap where the clasp connects). Additionally, you get two metal studs (the little metal posts that actually attach the band to the watch), two metal stud lugs (the little screws that hold the metal studs in place), and two metal stud heads (like a screwdriver - she used to unscrew the lugs). , so you can remove the bar and thus swap out the bands.) Replacing the watch strap itself can be a little tricky. In fact, only one of the tabs can be unscrewed, the other is permanently connected to a metal pin. Unscrew one of the lugs. After unscrewing the lug, the pin should fall out the other way (sometimes a bit of wiggling is needed). After that, the bracelet just falls off the watch. To put on a new bracelet, just do the reverse process. The whole process takes about two minutes once you understand that both lugs do not come off (when you try to unscrew the second tongue, the pin just spins). In my case the locking clamp is broken in half so i just had to replace it. I used the original pins, grommets and other parts of the strap and left the rest in case I need to replace them later. All parts come in a tiny resealable zip bag so you can store spares you don't use for later. because I don't want soapy dirt to build up). My original watch strap lasted about a year before it broke, so I'm guessing a new one will last about the same. I've had the new strap for a couple of weeks now and it looks the same as the old strap so can't tell it's a replacement and therefore newer than the strap I didn't replace. Also note that I do not think this replacement strap will fit other watches. I also have a Garmin Forerunner 305 and the width of the strap that actually connects to the watch is different so I haven't been able to swap out a strap for a different device.
