Blue/Black Replacement Bands for Garmin 💙 Forerunner 920XT: Enhance Your Fitness Tracking Experience! Review

This is the second replacement strap I have bought for my husband's Garmin watch. This time I thought about buying a third party replacement as these straps only last 15-18 months with normal use. I bought a Garmin replacement because I like the look of it, but I'll probably consider a cheaper replacement if I have to buy another in less than 2 years.

It only took a few minutes to replace my existing OEM harness on my 920XT which was starting to break. The order came with 2 screwdrivers, a pen and screw for each strap and of course 2 halves of the group. Simple instructions with a photo (no words) were also included. You will need both screwdrivers as the pin will rotate if you try to unscrew just one side. I am writing this review because I am back to order another one. I last replaced it in April 2020. This strap looks cool but is inherently very weak with very thin segments that break easily. I have had a Garmin 920 XT for a few years and absolutely love this watch! However, I had to change the strap at least once a year due to breakage. Revane tells me that my last purchase of this Garmin 920XT wristband was in July 2017. I'd say it's not bad for a watch strap considering I've swum 180 miles in the ocean in 2020 alone and have swum over 80 more this year and probably swam over 300 miles in a pool between 2017 and 2020 , which is very hard for rubber and plastic.
