Wow. when to start I have installed K&N and Airraid air intakes in my cars in the past. K&N definitely isn't. I liked that the filter was oil-free. It installed in just over an hour (1 hour 10 minutes). The mandrel is meant to be bolted to the heat shield and the hardware to hold it is the wrong size and I haven't had time to fix it. I have to go to Home Depot to find out how to fake it. I am not happy with the fit of the system. As for the performance increase. Easy. Increased gas consumption by about 1-2 mpg. Noise is negligible. Instructions OK. For the $100 savings, it's worth it.
