We bought this item about a year and a half ago. Problems began to appear immediately after the one-year warranty expired and now we're at the point where we need to back-order a new one. It seemed to me that for the money he should have served a little longer. The battery replacement (special order) had to be changed quite often and there was inconsistency as to how well it would work. I changed the battery in the collar just a week ago and it's already dead. Think of something else. Pros: It's easy for small dogs. Cons: Unreliable and batteries drain quickly.
