Very bad design. The digital display is an LCD display and cannot be seen under normal lighting conditions. I have to turn off the light in the room and then work with a low-power flashlight to see the display. A purely mechanical timer would be much easier to work with. The terminal blocks are also poorly designed and have a hard time accommodating the many thick wires needed for 30 or 40 amp power cords. The manual's documentation is very poorly written. I have written several professional articles in my career and find them poorly written and difficult to interpret. Do not buy this timer if a simplified mechanical timer suits your needs. If you need multiple timer settings and are willing to put up with poor design, then this is the place for you.
